I'm hoping there is someone who has gone through this can help me out. History: 3.5 years AD - Enlisted 1 year Temporary Disability Retired list Medical Retirement 100% Schedular Disability Just to clarify when I got taken off TDRL (temp retirement) I got an addendum letter from the DOD saying I got 13 months added onto my time in service & this letter must accompany all DD FORM 214 submission for benefits.. So here is what I'm wondering. When I "waive" retirement it is only pay... Correct? I still get all my other bennies (tricare, px, etc) I work for the VA and am coming to my 3 year mark and want to buy my military time back. I don't receive an actual retirement pension because my VA Disability is way higher; so by default I don't get retirement pension. So I am FERS so I pay back 3% of base pay & all retirement money... Right? I basically want to make sure I don't lose my other benefits.
